Not Quite Yet....

IF YOU DON'T WANT TO LISTEN TO ME COMPLAIN THEN DON'T READ THIS ENTRY

Buy a house is New York is beyond exhausting! We were told that we would be closing on the 20th of June, which is 44 days after we signed the paperwork, 44 DAYS!!!!!!!!!!! This weekend we found out, and keep in mind we only found out because Jabin emailed, that we will not be closing until the "first or second week of July". And keep in mind this still isn't a concrete commitment!!!!!!!!! FIRST OR SECOND WEEK, the first week will be at 60 days, 60 DAYS! Jabin has been living out of a hotel since March 31st, I have been living off and since mid April. I have been in this room completely since the 30th of May. Today is June 17th.

We have been told that the reason its taking so long is because 1st off the bank doesn't believe I'm not going to be working. Jabin partially took this job so I wouldn't have to work, I could do whatever I wanted be it photography, crafting, making our house a home, whatever I want. So they made us change our loan from a USDA to an FHA, oh great fine we are done with that, and the bank underwriters were suppose to have our paperwork to the atty in NY to write up the title. Keep in mind we were told when we switch from USDA to FHA it would go quicker, 3-4 days max with underwriters and then off to the atty. We were told to change June 4th I believe, meaning the paperwork would be to the atty on the 6-7th of June at the least. It's again June 17th and the attorney still doesn't have the paperwork.

WHY YOU ASK?!?! Because a credit company that checked Jabin's credit score had Jabin's birthday wrong, and they don't believe any of it is correct, oh and to top it off the underwriter is making a fuss because our current address is set up as Deiorios address. Well no SHIT, we have been taking a semi-permanent  residence in a flipping hotel because this is all taking SO LONG!

Today the underwriters are suppose to call Jabin to confirm his birthday and then off the the Attorney. I also don't understand why in sam hell it will take 3-4wks for the title to be written up.

I guess the hardest part is that Jabin is working his butt off at work and he is stressed out, (in a good way) and I can't make a home for him to come home to and relax, honestly that is all I know. I want to be the best wife I can be and I haven't been able to.

Disclaimer: Jabin also took the job because it is a great company! They have been so supportive with everything and we couldn't do this all without them, and we are beyond grateful.  And as far as our bank lady she is also amazing, she isn't the one holding it all up its the underwriters. If anything she is helping push everything along, she answers emails on the weekends and answers the phone too. She returns all calls too. Also our families have been supportive, they know this isn't easy on us, but we were raised properly and we have each other to lean on. If we needed anything they would be the first people to help us out. I'm so lucky to have Jabin to be my partner in this, he is the most amazing husband anyone could ask for and I love him so much. I'm ready to be us in our home again.

Congrats Mr. & Mrs. Bell

I want to say Congratulations to my cousin Cole Ann and my new cousin Brandon! From the pictures I have seen your wedding was perfect and fun! Cole looked beautiful and Brandon handsome. We are so sorry we couldn't make it but we know you understand.

While everyone was a the wedding, Jabin and I went to an event called Wine in the Wilderness at the Utica zoo. And while waiting in line I got this picture....
So we had to follow it up with  and what does our handsome nephew say? UNCLE JABIN! I can hear it now, he sure does love his Uncle Jabin! We miss him!
We also go a pic of Al and Gramps

There are a few more pictures for you guys, our wine sitting on the swan enclosure. Jabin found his new favorite wine, Black Cherry Pinot Noir. I must say it is very yummy! http://www.lakelandwinery.com/ is the website if you want to check them out. All in all the event was fun but very poorly executed. There are a ton of people, the website says thousands of people attend and they the zoo only has 3 tents up with vendors.  Jabin made a good suggestion, they should have a lot of little tents set up all around the zoo so you can spread everyone out. We have a plan for next year, get there early like we did this time, taste as many wines as we can in the first little bit of time, find a few good bottles and buy, and uncork then. And then start walking around and socializing and then after an hour or more is gone by then we noticed everyone else was drinking and not all crowded in the tents and we can continue to taste the wine we missed. So if you are interested in coming with us next year let us know!!!
Here is another pic of the zoo but the panoramic option didn't do to well on Jabin's face, he looks like he has a growth...ooops!

oh and the sneaky camel...

Well what else are we up to? Before we went to the zoo that morning we went on a walk by the canal, a 4.8mile walk! Go us! Note to self, we do not want to walk that much and then walk even more while drinking! All in all it was totally worth it.

Sunday we did laundry, LOTS AND LOTS OF LAUNDRY! We did a crap ton of loads at the plant. It's nice the company lets us use their facilities, but we can only do 1 load at a time. The good thing is that we can watched TV.

Last night we went to dinner at Babe's.
It was pretty good, we both got burgers and we are pretty sure that our waitress forgot to put our order in because it almost took 30mins to get food. We think she realized and that is why we got a loaf of bread to snack on. Oh well it was worth the wait.

Oh Maggie called last night while at dinner and she is so so so happy with all of their pictures! She got the jump drive in the mail yesterday. I couldn't be happier to have done a good job for them, they really do deserve it!

Shooting weddings is so nerve racking. I know my wedding was the most important day in my life thus far and I always want to make sure that I capture the perfect moment for the couple. I've been lucky to take pictures at 2 of my fav peoples weddings.

On the topic of photography I really need to contact the chamber of commerce and see how they handle a hobby like photography. I don't want to break any laws in our new state. A lady at Jabin's work, Gloria, she is all about my work, she is asking if I will do her son's senior pictures and she is passing out my card to all of his friends parents and even putting up my card at their school I think. She lives an hour away from Utica but that's okay, I'm willing to travel on the weekends. That way Jabin could come with me.

Side note, I'm watching WUTR news, Central New York has a new sex offender program coming out, they will be sending out post cards to the neighbors of new sex offenders when they move into the neighborhood. I'm not sure how I feel about that.

Well I don't really want to proof read this one either...but congrats you made it through anyway!

You are telling me the Zoo and Wine don't go together?

Our fun adventure for this weekend will be doing our HUGE amount of laundry at Jabin's plant and then going to the ZOO! We are going to an event called Wine in the Wilderness and we are so excited! Here is a link to the website. http://uticazoo.org/event/wine-in-the-wilderness/

I hope we have fun and I also hope that the rain holds out! Any who if it's fun hopefully we can get my Dad and Judy up here next year for it! I will keep you posted on it!

Speaking of Posted, I bought stamps the other day and I think they are super cute! oh you know the adventures of a house wife living in a hotel! No it's not too bad, I'm glad I have Hallie though or I'd probably go nuts. There is only so much adventure you can do on your own, I like to share all the experiences with Jabin.

She rides in the car a lot with me now when I just have a quick errand to run.

I really don't know why the pictures keep flipping to the side, ugh! Sorry guys

Well this is a quick one, I'm going to run to the store....lets see what kind of trouble I can get into!

The Ultimate Road Trip!

Silly me, I thought when the moovers (spelled correctly) said that they would pack the day before, I thought that meant they would pack the truck the day before and we could get a head start on the road super early like 7am-ish. Granted I know not everyone thinks that is early, (Larry and Larry Dean) but to me its early. When the moovers said that they meant if they needed to pack our house up they would do it the day before....oops! It took them until about 2pm to get everything packed on May 29th, and packing and having to shower after you pack is almost impossible! Dad and Judy came over and helped a ton, they did all of the refrigerator and it was a huge help for sure. Paul and Allison did a great too! All in all we had a ton of help over the few days and we couldn't have done it without everyone. I must say though watching the 3 moover guys do all the work was really nice/ hard to watch because part of me wanted to help.

I think we hit the road a little after 3 but again it kind of all blends together. We made it through St. Louis Mo and all the way through Illinois and stopped in Terre Haute Indiana for the night. We stated in a Motel 6 and I was not impressed. Granted it was pet friendly, but I'm so glad we don't have to live in it for the 20 days we has to live in the Red Roof Inn in Utica. I did have to hold Hallie's paw because she kept doing her "huff" bark. She was just protecting us. All in all it was a good end to a 8 hour drive after an entire day of packing!

Then we started off the 2nd leg of our trip and it was a 12.5 drive. I don't know about the AM sport channel listening truck ahead of us but Allison and I laughed our way all the way to New York. We had dance parties and serious talks and all the fun stuff the sports truck didn't have!

We finally made it to NY and we were all pretty well pooped, it was pretty late too, I think it was 11ish when we finally got here and hit the hay. Jabin being the trooper he is, got up for work and worked a whole day even though his CFO was nice enough to tell him he could go home early. While Jabin was at work Paul, Allison Hallie and I met the mover guy at the storage unit. (Mild vent; ugh I hate that we have to storage our stuff just to pull it out when we move in) That took about 4hours or so and Allison and I laid out, and I got burnt...at the storage unit! Then we came back to meet up with Paul and Hallie, they went home early because it was too hot for Hallie. Then we went on a tour of the plant with Jabin. Everyone needed to talk to him, it was proud wifey moment, I'm so proud. Allison pointed out it was like a personal version of "Good Eats". After Jabin got off work we went to Bella Mia Cafe, and holey SMOKES their portions are HUGE! It was very yummy.
The next day we then got up and went to breakfast at Denny's. We haven't really found a diner we like. We went to one place but it was kinda ICK. Then we took the two nut jobs (Al and Paul) by the house, we were totally bummed that we couldn't go in but the owners were too busy with their garage sale to let us in......BUMMER!!! Then we got a pick me up....ice cream! The Ice Cream Factory was a hit with everyone!

Then off to Saranac Brewery! The tour was interesting but the 2 free full beer sampling at the end was the best! We did have a beefy woman who thought she was SO FUNNY on the tour, you always have to have that one person that everyone wants to punch and that was her.
After our post-brewery nap we went out to the Varick Street bars. This is apparently the SPOT for all the hip kids in Utica :). We went to a Celtic Bar and then a bar called Shots. It was all in all a good night! Paul and Jabin got the dueling pianos to play the K-State Victory song. Jabin also requested our first dance song....melt me heart! I love him.

Needless to day the next day we didn't get up early enough for breakfast so we went to lunch. We went to a popular pizza place, Pizza Grande, and it was yummy! We ordered another upside down pizza (sauce on top of everything) and a white sauce chicken, cheese and broccoli pizza. And then went back to the room to relax we were all pretty pooped! Even Hallie got in on the relax time!

Then the said part, we had to take Paul and Allison to the airport :( , it was a quick goodbye and a quick hug and they were off, Allison and I were pretty much messes. Jabin and I are pretty lucky to have a couple of best friends who get along very well.

I think that pretty much sums up the best road trip ever!

Cri-Cyst Averted!

So I started this on 5/18/13 in the airport,

I know I have a sick sense of humor! As you all know I had a ovarian cyst a little bigger than a golf ball in size a few weeks ago. I went to get my cat scanned J and that’s what they told me. I scheduled an appointment here in NY for the 16th. When I put the appointment in my phone in KS for my appt at 10am, when I moved over the time zone it moved my appt to 11am so I was a little late. I almost cried because I really needed this appointment. I told the lady at the front desk that I flew all the way from KANSAS for this appointment ONLY! So they squeezed me in. After the appointment I spoke with the doctor again and rec’d great news, my cyst was GONE! He said it might come back but if its completely gone now I should be good. If it had still been 4.5cm then I would have had to have surgery. PHEW (wiping sweat from brow) no surgery for this lady! So we will just keep an eye on the pain and see if its gone now. I think I can still feel it but I’m not sure if its from over compensating on not rupturing it or what not. I will keep you all posted.
Hum….other things that have happened. We’ll the forgetful person I am, I left my camera in NY and I need it for FL on Thursday before Jabin flies in so he has to ship it to me! URGH! I’m so expensive.

So much has happened since then because today is 6.3.13.

First things first, I managed to pack quite a bit in the few days I had in KC before I was set to leave for Florida for Dan and Maggie’s wedding.  My flight to FL was great and I rented my first rental car! Yay go me! Then headed off the to the beach house. When I got there Maggie was very happy to see to me say the least. I could tell she was very overwhelmed living in a house with a lot of her family members.  I unloaded and we headed to the beach to decompress. All in all she was handling everything pretty well. She has a great family they are all really nice but they have one character who drove me crazy and I think they drove her crazy too, but doesn’t every family have one of those? Then after a little while I picked up Jabin at the airport, and of course he was delayed, the poor kid can’t seem to catch a break on flights that I’m not with him on.  Jabin and I took a walk on the beach that night; it was very nice, barefoot in the sand, my FAV!
The morning of the wedding 5.24.13, we woke up and took Mags to breakfast, get her out of the house again and let her just relax. After that we dropped her off and Jabin and I got to have a little mini date day on the beach. We both needed it. After the beach we went to lunch and ordered appetizers only and then went for ice cream… yummy!  I must say though after we got back to the house its like we never stopped working until around 12 that night.

I do have to say Jabin is the best assistant I have ever had, he was great helping Maggie with anything she needed and helping me too! He really is the best husband and I’m so lucky he is so supportive of my dreams.

Here are a few pics from that trip

Fast forward to being in KC for the following few days, we packed and packed and packed until we had no more boxes. Later that night we went to Dad and Judy’s for some grilled food! It was Dad, Judy and Kerry and then Tracy, LJ and Kinley showed up. It’s all about the baby :) we are going to miss her. It was really nice to catch up with everyone before we leave. I’m glad Jabin got to be there too. With all of his traveling for work he was missing out on nights like that.

Then Jabin’s parents came to town to drop off Hallie. Later that night we went over to Curtis and Kathleen’s to hang out and we got to play with our BEAUTIFUL niece Elaina. She is getting so big and she is so funny! We also played a new game called Tele-something. It’s kind of like telephone and Pictionary combined, we are going to buy it. I held my tears in until we drove off and then of course I thought about how much I’m going to miss Elania, sorry Kathleen and Curtis but it’s about the baby!  The next day Jabin’s parents came over to help finish up a lot of stuff, they were such a great help! And Debra even made peanut butter cookies that were a hit on the road trip. It was a tough goodbye that is for sure too.

All of the days kind of blend together, but I think later that night we went to pick up Allison and dinner with Jason, Sandy, and Waylon at Margarita’s. Taco Tuesday!! We hung out in the parking lot of a while playing with Waylon. I did pretty good until Waylon came running to me with a big hug and kiss and told me “I…I….uh….I coming on a air pwan to New York” then I kind of lost it. Going to miss that cutie too! Oh and Waylon put me in time-out, not sure why but I went for fun. I was quickly removed from time-out.  Later we went to pick up Paul from his house.

We had a sleepover at our house that night, it was surreal. I don’t think it has fully kicked in. We also went shopping for snacks and shopping with Al and Paul is an adventure all in its own.

Well I will continue this post tomorrow, I’m so sleep to keep going tonight!

DISCLAIMER: I didn't proof read :-/
